Cinetone Privacy Policy
Overview
Cinetone: Video Color & LUTs is provided by idttm (Andrii Cheberiako). The app processes the videos and LUT files you select to preview, adjust and export color. It does not require a Cinetone account, display advertising, use third-party analytics SDKs, track you for advertising or sell your information.
Selected media and local storage
You choose individual items through Photos or Files. Cinetone copies selected media into local working storage and renders previews and exports on your device. Cinetone does not send original videos, image frames or audio to a developer server or to its recommendation service.
Imported LUTs, working files and exports may remain in app storage until removed or cleaned up. Removing the working source does not delete the original in Photos or Files or copies you already exported. Deleting the app removes its local app storage; copies saved elsewhere remain under your control. Device backups and file providers you choose follow their own settings and privacy terms.
Analysis and optional Apple recommendations
Scene analysis runs on your device. Look Suggestions use on-device Foundation Models by default, with deterministic suggestions when models are unavailable.
If you explicitly enable Apple Private Cloud Compute on a supported device and OS version, Cinetone sends bounded scene labels, face count, brightness and saturation summaries, and original look-catalog text to Apple's service to request look IDs. The request does not contain original media, image frames, audio, filenames or file paths. Recommendations do not change your selected look automatically.
You can return to on-device mode in Look Suggestions settings. Apple operates its service under its own privacy protections and availability rules. Cinetone has no application server and does not keep a developer-server copy of the request. See Apple's privacy information.
Siri, Shortcuts and Spotlight
Cinetone exposes actions to Siri and Shortcuts and indexes look and preset information for iOS Spotlight. This may include the names and descriptive metadata of imported presets. It does not add video or audio to its search index. These iOS features are governed by your device settings and Apple's privacy practices; Siri has its own processing behavior.
Sharing and external services
When you share an export, the file goes to the destination you choose, which may be another app or a cloud provider. External references and apps you open have their own privacy practices. Cinetone does not control those destinations.
Diagnostics and support
Cinetone uses local system diagnostics for operation and troubleshooting. It does not upload analytics or diagnostic reports to a developer server. If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to provide and use it to respond to your request. Email is handled by our email provider.
Please do not send private footage or credentials. You may ask us to delete support correspondence by contacting the address below; any retention needed to resolve the request or meet applicable obligations will be explained in our response.
